“For Diversity. Against Discrimination.” Truck Tour
The “For Diversity. Against Discrimination.” truck visits towns and cities around the EU every year to spread information about EU anti-discrimination laws and raise awareness of citizens’ rights and responsibilities.
At each stop a day of activities is organised, including debates, quizzes, karaoke, and performances from local artists and musicians. Activities are developed in close cooperation with local associations and partners, including business, NGOs and employer associations.
The truck visits a wide range of events, such as music, youth and film festivals, sporting events, universities and employment fairs in order to reach different people in society who could benefit from learning more about discrimination and diversity issues.
Since 2004, the truck has stopped in 78 cities in all 27 EU Member States and over half a million people have taken part in its activities.
The 2008 Truck Tour will visit ten EU Member States: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovenia and Slovakia.
